Wiktionary

by Forrest Sheng Bao http://fsbao.net

韦氏词典100年前开始就充分嘲笑英国英语,自由人说be different from, 女王奴才说be different to

Of these, from is more common in formal registers than in informal ones, and more common in the U.S. than elsewhere; than is more common in the U.S. than elsewhere; and to is more common in the U.K., in Australia, and in New Zealand than in the U.S. Style guides often advocate from, by analogy with differ from (rather than *differ than or *differ to).
